Chill Out: aqua et caelum

Sometimes we just need a little break. It can take a little while or just last longer than a simple nap.
Sometimes closing our eyes is not enough.
Sometimes we have to travel out of our world to find peace.

I just propose five minutes of cloudy water and skies with the melodious `Samba pa ti´ (by Santana). Just watch it on full screen.

Homer Simpson 1€ coin

A sweetshopper in the town of Avilés (Asturias, Spain) found a one euro coin with notorious Homer Simpson's face, about ten days ago.

The shopkeeper, Jose Martinez, was counting the cash when he came across this:

We can observe that instead of the majestical bust of King Juan Carlos of Spain appeared the bald head of the mystic king of the donuts, beer and burping. Citing the shopkeeper, "the coin must have been done by a professional, the work is impressive". Apparently this is an isolated work because no other Hommie's euros have been found in circulation. Remark that 20€ have been offered for it. Crazy! Laughing out loud

Wikipedia Defaced

I was completing my post "China and numbers" with some Wikipedia links when I tried to open the article "People's Republic of China" and was faced with that:

We can read:

This is the Zodiac speaking. I laugh at your attempts to stop me. Your feeble minds cannot get my message.

Can human memory be as powerful as a computer? I don't think so... Sure it is more complex and amazing than your hard drive. Maybe even more abstract... Human made the machine to help them to achieve hard tasks but God (or god, as you believe) made human to impress other humans!

Indeed, it is amazing that a `thing' called PI WORLD RANKING LIST ever exists. Today I was shocked when I looked at those numbers:
http://pi-world-ranking-list.com/lists/memo/index.html

Amazing, uh? The rules? a maximum pause of 15 seconds between each digit... No pee, no food, no sleep, nothing. Just the human and its sickness for omniscience (or just fun...?) !
Anyway, there are other rankings like e number or SQRT(2).

Let's take a look at the #1 of this hilarious ranking: 67890 digits recited in about 24 hours and 4 minutes to without a mistake..! More: it took to the Chinese Chao Lu over one year to learn them all. I have no intentions to beat the record but there are the 67891 first digits of pi:

[Update:] when I pushed the submit button, nothing appeared on this post because of the length of the string, so I let a plain text file with those digits on attachment! Eye-wink
